Parkinson's
Parkinson's and other neuro-degenerative diseases
Parkinson's is a neurological disorder caused by an impairment of the central nervous system and the inability of certain nerve cells to properly communicate and control the peripheral motor response. Parkinson's disease affects predominately dopamine-producing neurons in a specific area of the brain called substantia nigra.
The cause of Parkinson's is not cut and dry but according to Dr. Dale Bredesen, the leading expert in neuro-degenerative disorders especially Alzheimer's for which his book 'The End of Alzheimer's' is a New York Times best seller, describes the cause as a combination of insults to the brain including heavy metals, pesticides, food additives, preservatives, and other chemicals from processed food products such as meat, dairy, GMOs, polluted drinking water, also from EMF radiation, etc.
Amy Berger wrote the best-seller 'The Alzheimer's Antidote - Using a Low-Carb, High-Fat Diet to Fight Alzheimer's Disease, Memory Loss, and Cognitive Decline'. She insists that the neuro-degenerative diseases of Alzheimer's, ALS, MS and Parkinson's etc have similar origins and are primarily caused from a failure of parts of the brain to harness sufficient energy from glucose. The remedy, they both state, is to start the repair process by a) remove existing insults to the brain and remove the toxins that have built up, and b) give the body the nutrients it needs to stem further damage and to start the repair of damaged neurons.

There are many methods of detoxification including consuming herbs such as turmeric, using charcoal tablets to chelate heavy metals, supplementing with sulfur which binds to toxins either by consuming cruciferous vegetables or taking MSM, taking saunas, giving blood, removing amalgams, coffee enemas, etc. They recommend converting to a plant-based diet high in fiber and healthy fats, and low in protein and processed carbohydrates. The brain, as Amy Berger claims, prefers to burn fat, and these disorders, as she has shown, stem from the brain's inability to burn glucose due to a problem with insulin receptors in the brain and thus the term 'Type 3 Diabetes' as neuro-degenerative disorders are often referred to.

Maintaining some form of the keto diet is her recommendation. Also highly recommended supplementing with vitamins and minerals especially vitamin C, D3, B complex, magnesium, and iodine. Also healthy fats like coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, hemp and flaxseed oil, and fish oil, since the brain is mostly fat and cholesterol.

The following videos show different natural treatments. The first, with Mike Mutzel interviewing toxicologist William Curtis who was diagnosed with parkinson's, describes the Keto diet and the amazing effects of heavy cream, butter, and coconut oil enhanced coffee (termed bullet-proof coffee). The second with Dr George Birkmayer, highlights the benefits of NADH for energy production and has been used in large doses successfully as a natural treatment for Parkinson's. The last, an interview with bio-chemist Boyd Haley, shows definitive evidence of the part played by mercury (minute 27+) and his ground-breaking chelator OSR (re-named to IRMINIX) for removing mercury accumulation in the brain.
