Eggs

It's pretty clear that eggs are good for you. Preferably cage-free. Better raw, but if not raw then lightly cooked e.g. poached.

 

Although an egg contains 1.6 gms of long-chain saturated fat, it also contains a natural breakdown mechanism for that fat (see below video 'By eating hard-boiled eggs, will you gain weight'). That mechanism is the Choline amino acid which helps convert fat to energy. It also plays a critical role in preventing fat and cholesterol from accumulating in the liver and instead transporting them to those body tissues that need them.
